Wallet Optimizer ("the app") is designed to keep your data on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and doesn't do with your information.
Nothing. Wallet Optimizer has no backend server, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no account system. We (the developer) never receive, see, or store any of your data.
Card nicknames, last-4 digits, card networks, and reward rates you enter are stored only in the app's local database on your device. This data is never transmitted anywhere and is deleted if you delete the app.
If you use the card-scan feature, the camera feed is processed entirely on your device to read the card's last 4 digits and network. No photo or video is saved or transmitted.
If you grant location access, Wallet Optimizer uses your location on-device to determine what kind of place you're near (e.g. a gas station or restaurant) and recommend the best card for it. To find nearby places, your location is sent to Apple's Maps service (MapKit), which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. We do not receive or store this location data ourselves. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Wallet Optimizer does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Wallet Optimizer does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
